I have noticed that I am far more adventurous now that I have the ability to get myself ridamndiculously lost with no more ill effects than possibly having to pull over to press two buttons on the GPS.
Ladies and gentlemen: I am a f%$#ing IDIOT for not getting a GPS sooner.

I have a GPS, and human assistance, regularly.
I’m still terrible.
Going to a place in Arlington that is on a street I know and is a block or two from where a friend lives? Why, let’s end up in DC, frazzled beyond belief, and try to figure out a way to drive to the location NOW that I’m in an unknown location, following unknown paths and coming at it from an unknown direction.
Somehow I get there.
And then let’s leave me COMPLETELY ALONE for the next 5 or 6 hours at a wedding because I came with all female family members, don’t know most anyone there, and am dealing with a wedding where the genders were segregated to separate sides of the hall with a curtain hung down the centerline.
I…. HATE…. driving.
