Snow Foolin’

Apparently there’s talk of a big snowstorm coming.
If it’s not at least six feet in Pittsburgh I’m going to be severely disappointed.

How frequent is the snow bad in the Lake Erie area? Serious question for someone else I know. Is it only bad during like the Dec-Feb timeframe or at other times too?

It depends on the proximity to the lake, really. Right up close to the lake it can get pretty bad if there’s a cold snap late in February and early in March; if you go further east, towards Lake Chatauqua there’s a bad snow belt there that gets hammered with snow at least once or twice between January and March. Basically there’s usually two bad snowstorms at some point early in each year before the end of March and then maybe a couple of rough weeks near the end of November and early December when the roads aren’t properly salted yet.

Ah. See, she got into a school around that area, and is trying to decide on that (less expensive, but SNOW) and something closer to home (but more expensive).
