….I hate the fact that I had a missed post yesterday, but not nearly as much as the fact that I don’t have anything worth talking about tonight, either. With any luck I’ll get some rest and have a real post tomorrow night… assuming I don’t lose track of time with Steam for the Mac (and assuming Valve actually delivers on their “buy-once-play-anywhere” plan which I still adamantly believe is a blatant lie).

I meant to have a post up for today, but failed. Sorry.

Sorry, but that Game Clear notice is about all you’re getting from me tonight in terms of content. Kinda tired, but hopefully tomorrow I’ll have something substantial, if for no reason other than to keep this week’s content-to-days ratio over 50%.

Sorry about the two-days-in-a-row-with-no-content thing. Been busy gaming and doin’ other stuff. Tomorrow I should have a more solid post ready.

…….the big post about FF13 was supposed to go on time delay for today. Sue me. I was hopped up on chamomile. (Can you really be “up” on chamomile tea? Isn’t that sort of the opposite of its normal effect?) Anyway, a proper post should be up later today. If not, well.

This post might get replaced. Might not. Busy day today and I’m getting it ready beforehand in case, well, I am too busy to post.

I apologize for missing yesterday’s post. I could lie to you and say I had a good excuse, but the truth is, I was out drinking.

No, really.

Stop laughing, I’m serious. That is precisely where I was. I had exactly one beer, just like I always do when I go out with friends. Beyond that, though, I have no excuse. Sorry.

If it makes you feel any better, it was some very good beer. It was called “breakfast beer” or something. I wasn’t overly concerned with the details as long as it was dark and strong, and that beer was both. I don’t drink often, but when I do, I get good stuff.

Anyway, Kurokiiro Festival is this weekend, and I shall be there. Not sure if this means you’re going to see posts from me or not, but you’ve been warned if I don’t post.

Finally, Poketoberfest has started again, but it’s not organized at all. In fact it took me twenty minutes this morning to find my copy of Platinum, so really I’m a day behind. Ah well, even if it’s just me, then at least it’ll continue the streak.

I’m not gonna talk about yesterday, because it was just me and myself. I relaxed, I grooved, I blissed the f%$# out. Nothing really worth discussing, anyway (except the fact that I put World of Narue on hold for the time being– yeah, seems like the fact that the anime went all recursive on me wasn’t why my brain rebelled Friday night).

The next couple days are going to become interesting. I have my Japanese class tomorrow evening, very close to Heinz Field, so I’ll be heading close to downtown– at a time when the G-20 shenanigans are already starting. I’m not sure whether that makes me brave, stupid, or just plain stubborn. I feel for a lot of my friends, though; they actually work downtown, whereas I casually wave at them as I drive past downtown twice a day.

Oh yeah. And as if all this hasn’t been nearly enough to dwell on, I somehow got it into my head that I should be preparing notes for this year’s NaNo and starting preliminaries on a non-fiction project for after the first of the year. This is, of course, disregarding the fact that I wanted to be working on a filler story or two for Linguankery once that runs out at the middle of November (this might get done this weekend).

So how much of this Hell week is self-inflicted? The answer is the only possible one: all of it.

As expected, I missed a post yesterday due to being utterly exhausted. The hour and a half long walk that I had to take in order to and as a result of finding a place to park for the Japanese class kinda took a lot out of me. On the plus side, however, I can honestly say that I am going to be slightly more in shape at the end of this class, to say nothing of more educated. So, apologies for the skipped day, but trust me, if I had had the presence of mind to tweet my troubles, you would know that I had a good excuse.

Actually, the fact that I didn’t have the luxury of stopping in my tracks and tapping out up to 140 characters of useless complaining probably should tell you enough about how dire it was. So let’s just move on.

Except that nothing interesting happened yesterday, and nothing pertinent and interesting happened today. Something interesting did happen, but as it was resolved shortly afterwards (and involves work stuff, and I have a pretty good feeling that the fine folks I work for would not like the deepest secrets of their systems revealed here), it is not pertinent. And really, I hardly think “interesting” was the word I’d have used at the time. Probably closer to “AGH HOLY CRAP WHY DID YOU DO THAT NO NO NO BAD I THOUGHT WE FIXED THAT“, to put a fine point on it.

So yeah. This weekend, like so many others, is both needed and appreciated. May I also add to this the continued insistence that 2009 has sucked ginormous donkey sack so far, and if we could all just agree to skip ahead to 2010 that would be peachy.

Sorry, folks. I have an early morning tomorrow and had a very, VERY long day today. This week is pretty much shot, just for the record, so I’m going to just call this a mini-hiatus and get back to you all on Monday. Sound good?
